Privacy policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what Sleepless Markets ("we") stores about you when you use the website, why, and what you can do about it. We keep as little as possible and we never sell your data.
What we store
- Your account, if you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, as shared by Google, plus when you joined and last signed in.
- Your dashboard: the markets you follow, your planned amount and split, your AI chat history, paper trades, price alerts and followed insiders, so they are available on all your devices. Without an account this stays only in your own browser.
- Email alerts, if you turn them on: your email address, your markets and your alert settings.
- Basic technical logs (such as IP address and errors), kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
Only to run the service you asked for: signing you in, saving your dashboard, sending the alerts and briefings you signed up for, answering your questions to the AI analyst and preventing abuse. The legal basis is performing our agreement with you and, for emails, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Who helps us run the site
- Google, for "Sign in with Google".
- Vercel, which hosts the website, and Upstash, which hosts our database.
- Resend, which delivers our emails.
- Anthropic, whose AI models write the signals and briefings and answer chat questions. The questions you type and your market list are sent to it to produce an answer.
- Market data providers (such as Finnhub, Marketaux, Nasdaq and Binance). We only request prices and news from them; we do not send them your personal data.
Some of these companies process data outside the EU, under the safeguards the GDPR requires (such as standard contractual clauses).
Cookies
We only use cookies the site needs to work: to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in process. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Email alert settings are deleted when you unsubscribe. Signing out removes your data from that browser.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Send us a request through the contact page (topic "Privacy request") and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell signed-in users about important changes.
